It's Labor Day...

...and boy do I feel like I've been 'laboring' this weekend!!! I've been laboring 1/2 the weekend cleaning up vomit and washing linen over and over and over and over...(you catch the drift?) Philip and I took Friday off to go camping...that never happened because Justin woke up Friday morning vomiting and into Saturday. Who wants to be stuck in a itty bitty trailer confined with vomit and germs, so we decided to stay home. Jordan picked up the bug and he started vomiting with Justin on Saturday; I then picked up the bug on Sunday and started vomiting, and Philip got a different version of the bug on last night into today......It was the kind of 24-hour bug, thank goodness, but we never got our last long weekend out in the camper before we have to put it away for the winter; well I guess there is always next year.

Jordan and Daddy did get out on Sunday to see the movie Ponyo and get Jordan's haircut...what did I tell you; Philip goes on his own and Jordan's hair is getting shorter and shorter with each visit:-) It looks really nice though as you can see below!




I finally ventured out of the house today (actually Justin & I did)...I hadn't been out since I took Jordan to daycare on Friday morning. It was definitely more of a laid back weekend except for the being sick part of course:-( When Philip went back Friday afternoon to get Jordan, daycare was scrubbing the entire building down...I guess a lot of kids got this bug and either weren't in for the day, had to go home, or were getting sick; hopefully with the long weekend we should all be good to go!

Philip (with Justin's help:-)) was able to put the last piece of new office furniture together this weekend as well. Thank goodness Justin was there to lend daddy a hand cuz I'm not sure he would've been able to do it by himself:-) Justin always has to be in the mix of things!

'Lil' Larry?

Here are a few photos of Justin's haircut after it was all finished. There is some talk amongst myself and Philip that he looks like a mini Larry (Papa in MI)...you guys will have to be the judge if you know him and let us know if that is in fact the case.

Justin's 1st Haircut

Justin got his 1st haircut yesterday. He did excellent in the chair even while clippers were being applied to his little 'nugget'! The lady thought he was 18 months old because he was so big. I said 'no, he's only 14 months old'...Hard to believe Jordan was close to 2 years old before he got his 1st haircut, in fact, he was actually 21 months old. He kept a cue ball dome for the longest time...his little cousin Cameron was born with more hair the Jordan at the time when Jordan was 18 months old!

Below is the slide show of his haircut. We had it taken at Kids Cuts in Puyallp...they did a great job and I'm sure we'll be back.

As promised, here are a few pictures of Jordan's new haircut that he got yesterday. I really think he's looking more and more like daddy everyday with the clipper/buzz up the back and sides with curls on the top...what you all think?

Updates...weekend!

Well, the yard sale went great this weekend...I was out there on Friday & Saturday whilst watching Justin, who of course was sick over the weekend (actually since this past Wednesday). Today was the first day he didn't have a fever, so he's going back to daycare tomorrow...he has gotten 4 out of the 5 doses of the antibiotics & his pediatrician said by Monday that he would no longer be contagious, whether it was bacterial or viral pneumonia. I just hope that daycare isn't walking around with a thermometer all day checking his temperature and then calls me that he's got one...

We made $265 for the two days...I got rid of all of the baby gear I had with the exception of about 15 or so little outfits (I was getting rid of NB through 12 months). Needless to say, we are very happy; especially Philip since he gets to have his garage back! With some of the $, I bought Jordan a new pair of sneakers since the ones he was wearing were all trashed...this is the first time I've had to buy the same size for sneakers. He's still wearing size 11 and Justin is wearing size 6. Normally Jordan's feet grow faster then he trashes the shoes...I see this can get very expensive:-) With another one following suit!

Jordan got his very big boy haircut today! His hair was getting pretty long and ragged. The clippers were used all of the way up to leaving a little bit on the top. I'll have to post a picture tomorrow...Justin is getting his cut next weekend since we didn't have the camera with us, but more so he is just getting over being real sick. Not sure how we'll cut his hair since it's completely straight like mine; possibly a bowl cut, but not for sure.

We bbq'd steaks last night w/Mary Kay and family, and the Jordan & Philip went over to the neighbors across the street for a quick chat at a party where Jordan got to jump on a trampoline! Instantaneously, he thinks he's getting one for Christmas now:-) It was a long weekend since I had a vacation day Friday that turned out to be a sick day with Justin anyways! He is definitely doing better now...we go in Thursday morning for a 7-day check up.

As promised!

Below are a few new pictures of the boys! Justin is playing & showing some teeth whilst trying very hard to open doors to the TV cabinet & Jordan's brand new haircut that looks a lot like Daddy's haircut....short up the sides and back w/curls 'for the girls' on top:) There's also a picture of Jordan in his safety scooter gear; the scooter was in the garage, he came in for lunch and geared back up to go outside when I got the picture...I'll have to get another one of him actually using the scooter next:)

The boys are getting too big!

It was sunny most of this weekend and in fact we reached 62 degrees yesterday...(YEAH)!!! Philip put Jordan's spiderman scooter together that he go for Christmas since it was warm enough and nice enough to be outside. I got a few pictures of Jordan in all of his gear, knee & elbow pads, and a helmet...he looks like a skateboarder; very cool! I'll have to post them up tonight hopefully! Jordan also got his haircut yesterday and it is even shorter then it has ever been. I think Philip is trying to mimic his haircut on Jordan, but anyways Jordan had been complaining for the last 3 weeks that his hair was getting long and he needed a haircut; he got his wish yesterday as it is very short with clippers used to fade it up in the back and the sides.

Justin looks to need tubes in his ears since he basically has had continuous ear infections since this past October. When we go back two weeks from Saturday if he's still has them we are going back over to Dr. Rone, the ENT specialist who put Jordan's tubes in. I thought because Jordan was born early that he had the ear problems and that Justin wouldn't, but I guess not! We went to Nordstrom's yesterday and I had Justin's feet fitted for some pediped's since he's not yet walking on his own outside, but anyways his feet were sized at 5 1/2 which means a size 6 shoe. Our neighbor's 2-year old daughter is wearing size 6 now; of course girls feet are smaller, but I mean common'...the lady says normally the size she fits is a 4 at Justin's age! As was mentioned way earlier in my blog, I think Justin is going to get significantly bigger then Jordan and one day I'll be blogging that Justin is now pummeling Jordan and taking toys from him:) I tell Jordan about Karma but I don't think he quite gets it yet...I'm sure he will!!!:)

We've got our first camping trip planned for a long weekend up in Burlington, WA over the last weekend in April...I'm getting excited! It'll be fun to get out and do stuff and not have to only plan big trips where we fly somewhere...I'm sure the boys will be loving it too! We'll definitely have lots of pictures to share!

New tricks & New Hair!

Jordan got a haircut today...that now makes a total of 4 during his lifetime! He does so good while he gets his haircut. He just sits in the chair while the lady cuts it. I have the hardest time just brushing his hair and this lady uses a comb and tugs it out and sprays him with water and he just sits there...I can't seem to figure it out!

Today was the first day Justin got in his little bouncer...he looks SO big! Two days ago (Friday) should've been his 4-month check up instead his pediatrician was OOF so we go this coming Friday. I'll post some stats and what he's up to after the appt. We did have to make a trek in to the doctor that was on call covering for ours Friday afternoon because Justin wanted to decide to keep a nasty looking rash all over his body. Poor guy, was still happy and smiling:) Come to find out it was just a viral rash that should go away on its own (no medicine for it) in a couple of days and in fact today it was basically all gone...

Philip got his haircut today as well and out of nowhere Jordan says he has to go potty...so we go next door to the beauty salon's bathroom and he 'goes' and 'goes a lot' (standing up mind you into a big potty (well actually smaller then a normal toilet since his standing up was just the right size, sorry if TMI)!!! I'm flabergasted...this is a breakthrough on the potty training we've been waiting for!!! I guess sooner or later they'll make the connection and it will start to work. I just hope it's before kindergarten! Anyways, below is a picture of the boys playing horsie...Jordan just loves his little brother to pieces, in fact, Friday coming home from Justin's doctor appointment, I asked Jordan if Justin was awake and he said "no". Then I hear Jordan say, "Justin, wake up Sweetie!" That's the word I use all the time, "Sweetie". It was so cute, I laughed to myself so as to not sound like I was making fun of Jordan...I love my boys!!! (and Philip too)!
