Jordan got to see his 2nd movie ever at a movie theater this past Saturday with Daddy (his 1st one was Disney's Pixar UP with Mary Kay & Claudia). They went to see Transformers II; Jordan is still young enough not to catch onto anything, but loves Optimus Prime, Bumblebee, and all of the transformers. It was a 2 hour, 40 minute long movie and Philip said he did just excellent. They went to the first showing at 0900 on Saturday and all in total there were about 40 people in the theater including kids. Justin & I stayed home, in fact, I got some reading done since Justin napped for an hour of that time...it was kind of relaxing; who knew:-)
Saturday afternoon, Philip replaced our 1 ash tree out in the back yard with a birch tree and added 2 more maple trees as well. Now we've got 5 trees out back that we've just got to wait for them to get bigger to give us shade and block the view of the main street! That evening we headed over to Mary Kay's for an excellent meatloaf dinner...the weather was great so we got to eat outside and enjoy everyone's company!
This Friday we are heading down to Astoria, OR for the long weekend and coming back on Monday. I'm excited since this was the same place we went to on our very first camping trip exactly 2 years ago (July 4th weekend as well) when we rented the camping trailer. Who would've thought we'd be toting 2 boys along a couple years later...I think we're going to try to ride the train again, go to the fort they have there, as well as the Tillamook cheese factory. The weather is supposed to be nice, and with Justin being sick that we didn't get to go camping in June it actually seems like a long time since we've last went out. Well we are actually making up for it and going this weekend, 7/31 weekend, and again in August.

'Lil' Larry?
Justin's 1st Haircut
Justin got his 1st haircut yesterday. He did excellent in the chair even while clippers were being applied to his little 'nugget'! The lady thought he was 18 months old because he was so big. I said 'no, he's only 14 months old'...Hard to believe Jordan was close to 2 years old before he got his 1st haircut, in fact, he was actually 21 months old. He kept a cue ball dome for the longest time...his little cousin Cameron was born with more hair the Jordan at the time when Jordan was 18 months old!
Below is the slide show of his haircut. We had it taken at Kids Cuts in Puyallp...they did a great job and I'm sure we'll be back.

Happy Father's Day!
Happy Father's Day to all of you fathers! With a little coaxing to say 'go tell Daddy Happy Father's Day', Jordan came downstairs and gave Daddy their card and had Philip go out into the garage to open up his present...the boys got him a Craftsman 16 Gal. wet/dry vac with a couple of additional accessories that weren't already a part of the box. He was very excited and of course the first thing that came to his mind was that he could clean the cars and the trailer, but I of course thought the house too:-) (NOTE: See the new pictures of all of the boys down the right hand side of the blog)
Yesterday we went to Spooner Farms and bought like 4 flats of strawberries...we were down to 2 bags left in the freezer from last year. Philip spent yesterday evening and the rest of this morning, washing and cutting them to put in the freezer. The strawberries smelled so good I had all I could do not to continuously eat what he cut! We also bought a couple of things of cherries off the side of the road for $2 (we got 'robbed'); the amount seemed very small and I all about ate them yesterday...Philip had to take them away from me so he at least got to try some too:-)
Today was the last day of school for me...I'm taking the summer off as I feel a little bit burnt out as well as the price for this next year has gone up which means more $ out of my pocket:-( I figured I'd cut down to 3 classes per year and have work reimburse me for them...it's not like I'm in any significant hurry for any reason. I'm just excited not to have to worry about homework & stuff! I've got 9 classes done w/only 7 more left...YEAH! That'll be a celebration!
Philip had a trailer load of firewood dropped off on Saturday; this is our plethora of on-hand firewood to take with us when we go camping so we don't have to buy any while we are actually camping. It gets pretty expensive to buy the bundles from the campsites themselves, but of course they are just trying to make $. He built some firewood stands by looking at projects online and got it done last weekend...he's a pretty savvy guy to have around (guess I'll keep him)!:-)

Random Tidbits...
Justin got a clean bill of health this morning at the doctor...Yeah!
Grandma & Papa from MI will be out to visit in Sep. They are really coming so papa can see the Puyallup Fair. Grandma has been to it once before, but it last for like 3 weeks every September.
http://www.thefair.com/
It looks like we are going out to Vegas in Oct. as Philip has to go there for a week for some sort of packaging convention (never knew such a thing existed:-)) so me and the boys will probably tag along at the beginning of the trip or at the end of the trip covering over the weekend before the convention or the weekend after the convention. Haven't yet finalized these plans yet as we are still only in June...
We are planning on getting Justin's first haircut this weekend...will definitely post pictures if we do!

Below are 3 pictures of Justin. The first one he's 12 1/2 months old, the next one he 13 months old, and the last one he's 14 1/2 months old. He's getting SO big SO fast!!! He's already climbing onto big brother Jordan's back to ride him like a horsey:-)
I love showing all of my teeth...AND 'riding' my plastic bat!

Updates...weekend!
Well, the yard sale went great this weekend...I was out there on Friday & Saturday whilst watching Justin, who of course was sick over the weekend (actually since this past Wednesday). Today was the first day he didn't have a fever, so he's going back to daycare tomorrow...he has gotten 4 out of the 5 doses of the antibiotics & his pediatrician said by Monday that he would no longer be contagious, whether it was bacterial or viral pneumonia. I just hope that daycare isn't walking around with a thermometer all day checking his temperature and then calls me that he's got one...
We made $265 for the two days...I got rid of all of the baby gear I had with the exception of about 15 or so little outfits (I was getting rid of NB through 12 months). Needless to say, we are very happy; especially Philip since he gets to have his garage back! With some of the $, I bought Jordan a new pair of sneakers since the ones he was wearing were all trashed...this is the first time I've had to buy the same size for sneakers. He's still wearing size 11 and Justin is wearing size 6. Normally Jordan's feet grow faster then he trashes the shoes...I see this can get very expensive:-) With another one following suit!
Jordan got his very big boy haircut today! His hair was getting pretty long and ragged. The clippers were used all of the way up to leaving a little bit on the top. I'll have to post a picture tomorrow...Justin is getting his cut next weekend since we didn't have the camera with us, but more so he is just getting over being real sick. Not sure how we'll cut his hair since it's completely straight like mine; possibly a bowl cut, but not for sure.
We bbq'd steaks last night w/Mary Kay and family, and the Jordan & Philip went over to the neighbors across the street for a quick chat at a party where Jordan got to jump on a trampoline! Instantaneously, he thinks he's getting one for Christmas now:-) It was a long weekend since I had a vacation day Friday that turned out to be a sick day with Justin anyways! He is definitely doing better now...we go in Thursday morning for a 7-day check up.

Yard Sale Day!
It's going great!!! We're getting rid of lots of 'stuff':-) Justin is still obviously not feeling well, so he's hanging out in the house napping & resting while I try to get rid of 'stuff'! Hopefully we'll have nothing left to put back in the garage!
On a side note in case you all were wondering, Peaches and Ike have been adopted and are in their new home in Canada...Wow, they've gone to a different country; they are now known as worldly dogs!!! I'm SO happy for them!!!!

Poor little guy...:-(
Justin has pneumonia so we won't be going on our camping trip to Leavenworth, WA tomorrow! He got a fever yesterday at daycare of 101.5 and then has just been sick ever since; I took him to his pediatrician this morning and he diagnosed it! He's on antibiotics; I'm hoping it's just bacterial and not viral since bacterial gets cleared up with antibiotics...viral could mean a hospital stay:-( We go back in 7 days for a re-check where hopefully things have cleared up...keep your fingers crossed! I feel bad for him since he is so sick! I kind of remember, but I think Jordan had pneumonia as well once when he was Justin's age or younger...I'm sorry, but raising kids would be so much easier if we were all in our own little germ free bubbles!!!
Philip rescheduled the camping trip to the weekend of July 31st instead. This way he doesn't lose his deposit; I think it was a good thing all around because Philip just came back late last night from an overnight trip to KY and came home this evening with a migraine and went straight to bed at 7p. I guess it's someones way of telling us to stay our butts at home;-)

SMOKIN'!!!
Today we reached 88 degrees; that's 21 degrees above the normal of 67 degrees for this time. We are trending to be 15 days in a row (tomorrow) with no measurable rainfall...I love it! It was 60 degrees this morning as I headed out to the bus stop at 0440; can it be like this forever? Only in Vegas I'm sure...
Just give it time and I'm sure we'll be back into the 60's soon enough:-(

Is it safe to say summer is FINALLY here?
Hard to believe the year is just about 1/2 over already and we'll be talking about and seeing Christmas & Halloween decorations soon enough! Time sure flies when you're having fun! Here's to an entire week of low 80's to mid-high 70's and sunshine!!!
The temperature has been wonderful here, in fact, it was 81 degrees today and is due to be 83 degrees tomorrow and Wednesday! These are the days why I'm so glad we had AC installed a couple of years ago:-) Philip hung ceiling fans in both boys' rooms yesterday...they are so cute; we got them at Home Depot. They are called discovery for Kids by Hunter and have rocket ships on the fan blades and like the globe/world for the glass enclosure. Actually, Jordan picked it out all by himself. By time Justin and I had made it around the corner, Philip had said here's the one Jordan wants...below is the link for the picture; obviously very popular since they are out of stock online!
http://www.homedepot.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/ProductDisplay?storeId=10051&langId=-1&catalogId=10053&productId=100625775&N=10000003+501492+982+10401010
Eventually we'll get a ceiling fan for our room too, but it's a work in process....I mean come on' we are STILL trying to finish our 1/2 bath mini remodel which is now going into year #2! At this rate, we'll be able to hire the boys to finish it for their mom and pop:-) If you go way back to the beginning of when I started blogging (June 08), yup one year ago, you'll see I was updating status on the bathroom; not much change since then! Basically it's the crown moulding that we are having the hard time with and I think we've actually decided to postpone doing it ourselves and once we redo the downstairs; have crown moulding put in throughout the downstairs (to include the bathroom). This won't happen for at least 2 years until Justin gets three, so don't look for any pictures to post to the blog soon on the bathroom:-)
The boys, myself, Mary Kay, and her boxer Coco went to the elementary school park a few blocks away yesterday and Jordan watched her throw the Frisbee in the air and Coco would run and catch it in her mouth. We'd all clap and then so would Justin...It was a gorgeous day to be outside. Actually the school we were at is where Jordan would go to Kindergarten next September; they grow just too fast. Justin and Jordan were on the big gym at school too going down the slides, hanging on the monkey bars, and climbing onto steps. There's nothing big brother Jordan can do that Justin won't at least attempt to try even if he falls down and hurts himself!
Jordan is going to see his first movie on the big screen this coming Saturday afternoon...Mary Kay and Claudia, her 12 year-old granddaughter whom Jordan just loves to pieces, are taking him to see the Pixar movie UP that just opened this past weekend and grossed close to $70M. Jordan couldn't be more excited then if it were Christmas time all over again! The caveat is that he has to be good this week:-) I'll have to let you all know how is first big boy movie experience goes!
Today was Justin's first day in the Sophmore room at daycare; no more bottles, no more formula, no more baby:-( I've got a full blown toddler on my hands now! He sits at the big table now with the rest of the 1-2 year olds and has breakfast, snack, and lunch and now also gets to do crafts and other structured activites. That makes 2 sets of crafts for 18 years; I think we'll need a bigger garage or storage unit since I'll never be able to get rid of anything. I've already got a big banker box full of Jordan's crafts up until now, and he's just 4!
